Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Senior Fabrication Tutor will lead and deliver high-quality instruction in metal fabrication, welding, and associated trades to students/trainees. This role ensures learners gain practical and theoretical knowledge aligned with industry standards, while fostering safety, discipline, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and hands-on practical training in fabrication and welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, Gas Cutting, etc.).
  • Develop course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and learning aids tailored to various skill levels.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure the training workshop and equipment are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
  • Mentor and guide students on best practices, safety protocols, and career readiness.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends in fabrication.
  • Participate in curriculum development and improvement processes.
  • Liaise with industry partners and stakeholders to align training with market needs.
  • Support junior tutors and assist in their development as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and training regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in welding/fabrication (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of industry experience in metal fabrication and/or welding.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a teaching or training role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication blueprints.
  • Strong communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills.
  • Safety-conscious with a solid understanding of industrial safety standards.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in curriculum development or training program design.
  • Exposure to modern fabrication techniques (e.g., CNC plasma cutting, robotic welding).
  • Certification in instructional methodology or teaching (e.g., Train-the-Trainer).

Working Conditions:

  • Hands-on work in a workshop/lab setting with potential exposure to heat, noise, and machinery.
  • May require occasional travel for industrial visits, seminars, or external training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pay
