Senior Data Analyst

About the Role As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into strategic business decisions. You will manage the full data analysis lifecycle from requirement gathering and data transformation to reporting and performance monitoring. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decisions across business functions. Key Responsibilities Data Transformation: Convert raw data into meaningful information to guide business strategies. Lifecycle Analysis: Manage full lifecycle of data analysis including requirement gathering, coordination, and implementation. Reporting: Develop and refine Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into business performance. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor key metrics to identify and implement improvement areas. Quality Control: Implement and oversee controls to maintain data integrity and accuracy. Trend Identification: Analyze complex datasets to extract trends and business-critical insights. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making. Process Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements in data collection, transformation, and analysis. System Monitoring: Maintain and report on data management system performance. Documentation: Maintain a central repository of all data analysis artifacts, tools, and procedures. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned. Job Specifications Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or Management. Domain Knowledge Mandatory: Insurance, Finance, or Banking domain experience. Must-Have Technical Skills Expertise in Power BI report development. Proficiency in SQL / Oracle / Microsoft SQL Server . Experience with user interface and query software . Strong background in Agile methodologies . Skills in Predictive Modeling, NLP, and Text Analysis . Hands-on with ETL tools and Data Modeling tools (ERWin, Visio, Enterprise Architect). Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows environments. Working knowledge of Hadoop and NoSQL databases. Strong data visualization capabilities. Machine learning experience is a plus. Professional Skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Interest in and awareness of emerging data and analytics tools and trends.
