Candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to alarms, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. The job typically involves vigilance, physical presence, and the ability to handle various situations. Role & responsibilities Surveillance and Monitoring : Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect suspicious activities or security breaches. Report any irregularities or security concerns to supervisors or law enforcement. 2. Patrolling : Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols across the assigned premises to ensure safety and security. Ensure all areas, including entrances, exits, and vulnerable spots, are secure. 3. Access Control : Screen and monitor the entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles. Issue identification badges or passes and ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas. 4. Incident Response : Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary. Take appropriate action during incidents, including crowd control or evacuation, if required. 5. Report Writing : Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare incident reports and document any breaches, accidents, or other events. 6. Customer Service : Provide assistance and directions to visitors, employees, or clients. Offer a visible, approachable presence to deter potential threats and ensure a safe environment for everyone. 7. Enforce Security Policies : Report any violations of policies or suspicious behaviors to management or authorities. Ensure compliance with company security policies, rules, and regulations. 8. Physical Security : Lock or unlock doors, gates, and other access points as necessary. Ensure fire exits and emergency pathways are clear and accessible. 9. Safety and Emergency Drills : Assist with conducting safety drills or trainings to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies. Preferred candidate profile Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Experience : Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military will be preferred. Skills : Strong observational and communication skills. Ability to respond quickly and effectively in stressful or emergency situations. Basic knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment. Physical fitness to handle the demands of patrolling and responding to incidents. Working Conditions: May be required to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Can involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions. May require standing, walking, or sitting for long periods during shifts. Additional Requirements: Must have a valid security guard license (depending on location and employer requirements). May need to pass background checks and drug screenings.
