Job Description

You should have a strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and related frameworks, along with hands-on experience in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Your proficiency should extend to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code. It will be beneficial if you have experience in integrating REST APIs and background job processing using tools like Sidekiq or Resque. Familiarity with version control tools like Git is essential for this role. Your experience should also include TDD/BDD using RSpec or similar frameworks, as well as strong CS fundamentals in areas such as Networking, Databases, and Operating Systems. Being organised, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented are important traits for success in this position. Proficiency in both front-end and backend development, preferably full stack, is preferred. An understanding of MVC frameworks like Rails (preferred), Angular (preferred), Django, React, etc., and micro-service architecture is necessary. Experience with test-driven development, strong nix skills (Linux, FreeBSD, and/or Mac OS X preferred), and familiarity with AWS/Kubernetes are also required. Strong SQL skills and previous experience mentoring developers will be advantageous. Additionally, exposure to cloud platforms like AWS/GCP and experience in front-end technologies such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular are considered good to have for this role.,
