Key responsibilities:

1. Oversee the entire quality assurance process for internal production as well as production from external contract manufacturing vendors
2. Collaborate closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure that quality standards are met at every stage of the garment production process
3. Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in garment construction
4. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections as per the quality standards(AQL) at various stages of production, including fabric inspection, pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing
5. Work closely with vendors to address any quality issues or concerns, providing guidance and support to improve processes and standards
6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of garment construction techniques, materials, and production methods
7. Train and mentor quality assurance team members, providing guidance on quality control procedures and best practices
8. Generate weekly quality report and Monthly quality reports

An ideal candidate must have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field
2. Proven experience of 5+ years in quality assurance or quality control roles within the apparel industry, with a focus on women's ethnic wear preferred
3. Strong understanding of garment construction techniques, pattern making, and fit evaluation
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues and discrepancies
5. Solid knowledge of quality control procedures, standards, and best practices
6. Experience working with external manufacturing vendors and managing relationships effectively
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite
10. Certification in quality management or garment inspection is a plus
