Role Summary This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team in India, taking a senior role in project design work, focused on production and liaison with the WSP UK Industry Team. Responsibilities Undertake process design work for projects and studies including the following typical activities and deliverables:- Concept design and layout development Process descriptions and design basis Material balances Preparation of process flow diagrams & piping and instrumentation diagrams Preparation of equipment lists, equipment datasheets, specifications Fluids lists and materials selection Process hazard studies (including HAZOP) and design safety reviews Detailed process design calculations Pressure relief design Hazardous area classification/assessment Utilities schedules, utilities flow diagrams and line sizing Process simulation using Hysys / Aspen Plus. Awareness of applicable regulatory standards, policies, and codes of practice for the process industries. Good interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a multi-discipline team.
