Position Summary... The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) leads large-scale, cross-functional programs that span multiple domains and business units. This role is responsible for strategic planning, executive communication, and driving organizational alignment to deliver high-impact outcomes.

About Team

We are the Technical Program Management team responsible for delivering technology services for Walmart US. From eCommerce capabilities to a thriving Marketplace and retail services, from Supply chain, marketplace, inventory management to Fulfilment and replenishment, we work with our business, design, and engineering counterparts in enabling the successful planning and delivery of various portfolios that power the Walmart US flywheel.

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Technical Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the development of large-scale, cross-functional programs, projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. If you thrive on solving complex technical problems and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with passionate software developers, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You ll Do

Lead enterprise-wide programs with high complexity and strategic importance.
Define program vision, strategy, and success metrics in collaboration with senior leadership.
Drive alignment across multiple teams, organizations, and stakeholders.
Mentor and guide Staff TPMs and contribute to TPM community development.
Anticipate and resolve systemic and architectural challenges.
Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders and influence decision-making.
Continuously improve program management practices and frameworks.

What You ll bring

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
12 15+ years of experience in technical program management or related leadership roles.
Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs at scale.
Deep technical expertise across multiple domains.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
Experience influencing product and engineering strategy at the executive level.
Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports
Deep understanding of JIRA, Confluence would be advantageous.

Preferred Attributes

Experience leading TPM communities or centers of excellence.
Ability to drive innovation and shape long-term organizational direction.
Strong executive presence and ability to influence without authority.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related area and 6 years experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area. Option 2: 8 years experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
