Principal Engineer Software (SASE) - NetSec

Job Description As a Software Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will be a key member of the Prisma Access team, contributing to the development and delivery of cutting-edge technologies that extend next-generation security protection to cloud services and customers across various environments. Your role will involve designing and implementing new features and integrations for virtualization across diverse cloud platforms, engaging in all phases of the product development cycle, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include working with virtualization technologies, hypervisors, system software, networking, and various Layer 7 protocols. You will be required to have a strong grasp of protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and TCP/IP stack, along with knowledge of encapsulation protocols like Geneve and network virtualization concepts like VXLAN and NVGRE. Additionally, you should be proficient in diagnosing network issues and familiar with application-layer vulnerabilities and best practices for secure development. To excel in this role, you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 12 years of experience in Software Development. Proficiency in programming languages like Go, C, C++, Python, and experience with socket programming, network libraries, and operating system networking concepts are essential. Experience with virtualization platforms, cloud environments, and building highly available systems will be advantageous.
