Job Title: Hospital Pharmacist Location: SreeniRam Hospital, Sriperumbudur, near Chennai Department: Pharmacy Reports To: Director Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Hospital Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, advising healthcare professionals on drug selection and usage, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing patient outcomes through safe and effective medication use. Key Responsibilities: Medication Management: Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications accurately and efficiently to inpatients and outpatients. Clinical Support: Provide drug information and advice to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications. Patient Care: Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to individualized treatment plans, particularly for patients with complex medication regimens. Inventory Control: Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals and ensure proper storage and handling. Monitor for expired or low-stock medications. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, local and national regulatory guidelines. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions, drug usage, and adverse drug reactions. Education and Training: Support the training of junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare staff as required. Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting preferred. Strong understanding of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and pharmacy management systems. Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Working Conditions:Fast-paced hospital environment with regular interaction with medical staff and patients. May involve working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
