JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF BU HEAD - PAPER Vacancy: 1 Experience: 8+ Years Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Business Unit Head Paper Packaging to lead our business focused on delivering sustainable, innovative, and industry-compliant paper packaging solutions for the Food, Pharma, Cosmetics, and Perfumery sectors. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, business development expertise, and team leadership to drive growth and profitability in this rapidly evolving domain. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Leadership & Strategy: Manage the P&L for the Paper Packaging Business Unit, driving top-line and bottom-line growth. Define and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with industry trends and sustainability goals. 2. Market Development & Sales Growth: Develop and expand the customer base across the food, pharma, cosmetics, and perfumery segments. Drive sales of primary, secondary, and tertiary paper-based packaging such as cartons, sleeves, inserts, labels, and rigid boxes. Leverage existing and new channels to grow business domestically and in export markets. 3. Product Innovation & Customization: Stay updated with global packaging trends, materials, finishes, and regulatory standards. Work with design and R&D teams to develop differentiated, brand-centric, and compliant packaging solutions. Promote sustainable and eco-friendly packaging practices. 4. Client Management: Build strategic partnerships with key accounts and brand owners. Oversee high-level client engagements and ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction and repeat business. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with production, design, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and innovation. Translate market needs into actionable product and service offerings. 6. Team Building & Leadership: Build, train, and mentor a high-performing sales and operations team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. 7. Business Intelligence & Reporting: Conduct competitor analysis and industry benchmarking. Prepare performance reports, sales forecasts, and investment plans for senior management. Qualifications: Education: B.Tech / B.E. (Packaging Technology / Printing / Mechanical / Industrial), MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Business Development, or Operations (preferred) Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience in paper-based packaging, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience with premium and sustainable packaging formats is a strong advantage. Key Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of packaging needs for FMCG, Pharma, Cosmetics, and Luxury/Perfumery brands. Strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset. Expertise in materials such as duplex board, kraft, virgin papers, specialty papers, and recycled papers In-depth knowledge of printing, finishing, and converting processes Strong client-facing and negotiation skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal capabilities Understanding of regulatory requirements for packaging in food and pharma sectors Creative thinking with a keen eye for aesthetics and brand alignment

Calculate OEE of the equipment, loss analysis and develop and implement suitable action plans for Improvement of OEE(Kaizen Change Model, Daily Kaizen Model, Other tools of Operational Excellence) Internal Processes Ensure monthly preparation & circulation of production MIS (volume, recovery, WIP, ageing, power & fuel cost) Coordinate with Planning team for planning & execution of the production plan. Implement Safety and Health measures as per laid down procedure. Support the Manufacturing head in preparing the annual budget and monitoring of performance against budget and circulate to the stakeholders. Develop and implement appropriate reporting and recording system of the production process to eliminate factors for deviation. Maintain record of consumable and major repair expenses and monitor and control as per approved budgets.
