Performance Test Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in performance and load testing of web and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in tools like Apache JMeter and Azure Load Testing , a strong understanding of web services and protocols , and practical experience in distributed testing environments . Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Azure Application Insights is a must. Shift Timings: 2 PM to 11 PM Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress tests using JMeter and Azure Load Testing . Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to identify performance bottlenecks. Configure and execute distributed testing across multiple systems or agents. Analyze system behavior under load and prepare detailed performance reports with recommendations. Monitor and troubleshoot performance using Dynatrace , Azure Application Insights , and related tools. Validate performance metrics and ensure alignment with SLAs and scalability requirements. Test various types of APIs and services (REST, SOAP) over HTTP/HTTPS , JMS , FTP , and JDBC protocols. Implement authentication mechanisms for secured web services (OAuth, Basic, JWT, etc.). Automate performance test suites and integrate with CI/CD pipelines. Continuously optimize performance testing processes and recommend improvements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in performance and load testing. Proficient in Apache JMeter and Azure Load Testing . Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, JDBC, SOAP/REST APIs, JMS , and related protocols. Experience with authentication methods for web services. Proven expertise in distributed testing environments. Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Dynatrace , Azure Application Insights . Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for performance tuning. Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure . Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Groovy, Shell, or Python) for automation is a plus. Experience in integrating performance tests with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins is desirable. Preferred Skill: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications in performance testing or Azure technologies.
