Job Description

Develop and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and high-performing. Manage Infrastructure: Set up and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines to accelerate software delivery using Kubernetes and CI/CD tools. Monitor Systems: Use Kubernetes-native and third-party monitoring tools to track system performance and quickly identify and resolve issues. Automate Processes: Implement automation scripts and tools to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development, DevOps, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of applications in Kubernetes environments. Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve issues in production and development environments, ensuring minimal downtime. Ensure Security: Implement security best practices to protect Kubernetes clusters, containers, and applications. Document Procedures: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for Kubernetes administration, CI/CD pipelines, and system configurations. Qualifications: Experience with Kubernetes CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with vanilla Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD. Proficiency in Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Containerization Expertise: Strong understanding of Docker and container orchestration in Kubernetes environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform, Helm, or Ansible for managing infrastructure. Monitoring Logging: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly. Key Activities: 1.Kubernetes Administration CI/CD Pipeline Management: Perform daily operations related to Kubernetes cluster management, including application deployment, scaling, and resource optimization. Optimize and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous software delivery. 2. Infrastructure and Container Management: Oversee infrastructure provisioning and management through Kubernetes, ensuring secure and scalable deployments. Work with container networking, persistent storage, and RBAC configurations. 3. Mentorship Support for IT Teams: Guide development and IT teams in adopting Kubernetes environments and automation pipelines. Conduct training sessions to ensure smooth transitions and knowledge sharing. 4. Monitoring Metrics Management: Define, implement, and manage key performance metrics and monitoring solutions for Kubernetes clusters, applications, and infrastructure. Ensure proactive alerting and logging to maintain system visibility and stability. Preferred Skills: Experience with Kubernetes cluster management tools such as kubeadm, kops, Openshift or Rancher. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security policies (Pod Security Standards, Network Policies). Knowledge of service meshes
