About the Role: Our team builds and maintain the Cisco Catalyst Center network Management product, which manage millions of network devices. Our customers use the Catalyst Center to monitor and configure critical IT infrastructure that serves tens of millions of people every day. As a Software Engineer on Catalyst Center team, you will collaborate with Product Managers, firmware and other backend engineers to architect, design, and build a large-scale wireless system. You will enable connections between over a million network nodes and our Wireless customers relying on our products to serve tens of millions of people. With the large footprint that we have, quality is our highest priority. Wireless team is responsible for delivering a simple to use but very powerful Network Management to our customers. With help from product managers and firmware engineers, you will construct intuitive and powerful systems that will be used by customers. What you will work on: Solve challenging architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems. Work with firmware engineers and PM to build intuitive and powerful workflows to handle containers. Coordinate and align knowledge and opinions between firmware, SRE and other developers. With the help of other engineers, implement sophisticated system to manage the Wireless network. Identify and solve performance bottlenecks in our Backend architecture.
