Motor Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Motor Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting insurance applications, obtaining quotes, and coordinating policy issuance. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM UAE time (10:30 AM to 7:30 PM IST)

Holiday Schedule: Following the UAE calendar

Typing Proficiency: Minimum 30-40 WPM (specifically for underwriting positions)

Work Location: Shivaji Nagar, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Placement & Underwriting Support

·        Prepare and submit motor insurance applications to insurance carriers for underwriting review

·        Obtain quotes and negotiate terms on behalf of clients

·        Follow up with insurance carriers to provide additional information or answer underwriting inquiries

·        Coordinate the issuance of motor insurance policies, endorsements, and certificates of insurance for clients

·        Assist the sales team with policy servicing requests, such as policy changes, renewals, and cancellations

Market Research & Collaboration

·        Stay informed about motor insurance market trends, industry regulations, and emerging risks

·        Research motor insurance products and carriers to identify the most suitable options for clients

·        Collaborate with colleagues within the brokerage firm, claims specialists, and risk advisors to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions

Requirements:

·        Relevant experience in motor insurance underwriting

·        Strong knowledge of motor insurance products and industry regulations

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
