MEP Tender Engineer/Manager

Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tender Study & Analysis:

• Review tender documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQ for the MEP scope.
• Conduct site visits (if required) to understand project scope and constraints.
• Identify technical and commercial risks associated with the project.

2. Quantity Take-off & Cost Estimation:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all MEP services.
• Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates using market rates, vendor quotes, and internal databases.
• Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain quotations.

3. Technical Submissions:

• Prepare and submit technical documentation including method statements, compliance sheets, equipment datasheets, and material proposals as per tender requirements.

4. Value Engineering & Alternate Proposals:

• Provide value engineering options or alternate solutions to enhance competitiveness.
• Analyze technical benefits and cost savings.

5. Coordination & Interface Management:

• Coordinate with architectural and civil teams to ensure proper service integration.
• Interface with consultants, vendors, and OEMs for technical and commercial clarifications.

6. Tender Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure all submissions comply with client specifications and standards as per the tender.
• Prepare bid clarification documents and participate in pre-bid or post-bid meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of

  MEP systems

  (Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
• Expertise in tender documentation, estimation, and BOQ preparation
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  and

  MS Excel

• Familiarity with applicable standards (IS, NBC, NFPA, etc.)
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
