Management Information Systems Manager

As the AVP Business Intelligence Unit Manager in the Business Intelligence Analytics department of a private bank in Mumbai, your main responsibility is to lead and manage business intelligence initiatives focused on automation, data democratization, and standardization. Your role will involve generating actionable insights, automating dashboards, and supporting risk management through analytics. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of NLP, LLMs, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Text generation, etc. Additionally, you will lead the automation of regular reports and MIS using SAS Viya and Power BI. Supporting business teams in converting manual reporting into dynamic dashboards will also be a key part of your role. Collaboration with risk compliance, product teams, IT, data engineers, and governance is essential to ensure consistent data. Working on complex data sets to identify key trends, exposures, and risk indicators using visual analytics for business highlighting is another crucial aspect of your job. You will also be responsible for the monthly preparation and timely publishing of the Risk Review Deck for senior management review. Monitoring and enforcing best practices in data sourcing and transformation will be part of your job requirements. The ideal candidate for this role should have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. You should have 7-8 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics in the banking sector. Hands-on experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and language queries like SAS, SQL, Python is necessary. Understanding risk metrics and exposure analysis in banking is preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are also required for this role.,
