Job Description – Robotic Maintenance Engineer Position: Robotic Maintenance Engineer Department: Maintenance / Automation Reporting To: Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic assembly equipment. Ensure optimal machine performance and extend equipment life by proactively addressing potential issues. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues in robotic systems. Perform PLC troubleshooting, including resolving communication problems between different PLC systems. Vision System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot vision inspection systems used in assembly lines. Ensure accurate operation for quality control and defect detection. Drive Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot Siemens Drives and SEW Drives to ensure smooth and efficient machine operations. Replace faulty drive components and monitor performance regularly. Sensing Devices: Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot sensors (e.g., proximity sensors, photoelectric sensors, pressure sensors). Ensure accurate functioning for process control and safety. Electrical Hoists: Maintain and repair electrical hoists. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient lifting operations within the production area. Skills and Qualifications: Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related fields. Experience: 3–8 years in robotic assembly maintenance, automation systems, or related industries. Technical Skills: PLC troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or others). Proficient with Siemens and SEW drives. Working knowledge of vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Omron). Experience with industrial sensing devices and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with hoist maintenance and safety protocols. Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset. Ability to work under pressure. Effective communication and teamwork. Additional Requirements: Ability to work in shifts as required. Strong commitment to safety and compliance. Good documentation skills for recording maintenance activities.
