You’ll take full ownership of the backend system, ensure stability, and implement new features while also managing third-party integrations and aligning technical development with business needs. Key Responsibilities: Backend Ownership (30%) Develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 backend modules, APIs, and business logic. Optimize performance, improve loading speed, and troubleshoot backend issues. Work closely with React/Next.js frontend to ensure proper API connectivity and user flow. Handle database structuring, data migration, and backend-side business logic. Backend Management & Coordination (70%) Act as the primary point of contact for all backend activities and integration needs. Manage third-party API integrations (payment gateways, CRMs, shipping providers, etc.). Document all backend processes, flows, and logic for internal tracking. Coordinate with stakeholders and the frontend team to understand project needs and deliver backend support accordingly. Maintain code hygiene, version control, and ensure deployment-readiness. Tech Stack: Backend: Magento 2, PHP, MySQL Frontend (for coordination): React.js / Next.js Tools: Git, Jira/Asana, Postman Integrations: Payment gateways, shipping APIs, CRM, marketing tools Requirements: 3+ years of hands-on development experience with Magento 2 backend . Ability to independently handle Magento module development, troubleshooting, and deployment. Familiarity with frontend API needs in React / Next.js setups.
