JOB OVERVIEW

As an Anaplan Architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and implementation of Anaplan solutions to meet the business needs of our organization. Your time will be spent solving complex problems at the intersection of three dynamic industries: Finance, Human Resources (HR), and Technology. You will work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable Anaplan models, including being a part of team ceremonies and supporting US-based end users. You will also work very closely with our Finance, HR, D&T, and legal teams to ensure we have the right integrations and data to implement into the models.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Anaplan Platform Expertise:
  • Model Building: Advanced proficiency in Anaplan model building, including module design, list management, action creation, and data integration.
  • Formula Optimization: Ability to write efficient and scalable formulas to handle complex workforce planning calculations.
  • Data Integration: Experience with Anaplan Connect, APIs, and other integration methods to bring in data from HR systems, financial systems, and other relevant sources.
  • Security and User Management: Understanding of Anaplans security model and how to configure roles and permissions to ensure data integrity and appropriate access.
  • Anaplan Certifications: Anaplan certifications (e.g., Anaplan Certified Model Builder, Anaplan Certified Solution Architect) validate expertise and are often required or preferred.
Workforce Planning Knowledge:
  • Workforce Planning Processes: Deep understanding of workforce planning methodologies, including demand forecasting, supply analysis, gap analysis, and scenario planning.
  • HR Data: Familiarity with HR data structures, including employee demographics, compensation, performance, and skills data.
  • Workforce Planning Metrics: Knowledge of key workforce planning metrics such as headcount, labor costs, turnover, and productivity.
  • Industry Best Practices: Awareness of industry best practices for workforce planning and how to apply them within Anaplan.
Business Acumen:
  • Business Requirements Gathering: Ability to elicit and document business requirements from stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations.
  • Process Analysis: Skill in analyzing existing workforce planning processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Solution Design: Ability to translate business requirements into effective Anaplan solutions that meet the organizations needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Skills:
  • Data Modelling: Strong data modelling skills to design efficient and scalable Anaplan models.
  • ETL Processes: Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to bring data into Anaplan from various sources.
  • Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for advanced data manipulation and automation.
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data extraction and analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

If they already have Anaplan experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant hands-on Anaplan experience.
  • Proficiency in Anaplan modeling techniques including lists, modules, dashboards, and worksheets.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Anaplan Certified Model Builder.
  • 6+ years of experience in workforce planning.
  • Experience with SQL and GCP development.
