Lead Data Engineer

Your responsibilities will include delivering end-to-end data pipeline solutions on cloud infrastructure by harnessing the latest technologies and industry best practices. You will utilize domain modeling techniques to develop top-notch business products, structuring software for easy understanding, testing, and evolution. Building solutions that are resilient and scalable, you will focus on developing secure code to safeguard customers and the institution from potential threats. Timely investigation and resolution of issues, along with ensuring zero downtime during releases, will be crucial aspects of your role. Optimizing data processing, monitoring performance, and ensuring reliable and efficient systems operation will also be part of your duties. Continuous learning and updating of technologies and patterns, as well as providing support throughout the product lifecycle, including production and incident management, will be key components of your role. To excel in this role, you should possess formal training or certification in data engineering concepts, along with recent hands-on experience as a data engineer. Proficiency in coding with Python, designing effective tests, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential. Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, data transformation frameworks, and data pipeline orchestration tools will be beneficial. Managing large volumes of data, optimizing data processing, and understanding event-based architecture, data streaming, and messaging frameworks are also important skills. Your ability to coach team members, manage stakeholders, prioritize effectively across multiple work streams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment will be valuable. Preferred qualifications include experience in a highly regulated industry, familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, expertise in data governance frameworks, understanding of incremental data processing and versioning, and knowledge of RESTful APIs and web technologies.,
