Key Responsibilities:Conduct risk assessments to identify fire hazards in the workplace Design and implement fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers) Develop, review, and update fire safety policies and emergency procedures Conduct fire drills, evacuation plans, and safety training for employees Ensure compliance with national and international fire safety codes (e.g., NFPA, OSHA) Perform inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment Investigate fire incidents and report findings to management Coordinate with local fire departments and emergency services Maintain fire safety documentation and reports Advise on fire-resistant materials and structural modifications Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering / Safety Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (with specialization in Safety) Diploma in Industrial Safety (preferred) Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in fire and safety engineering Knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and firefighting equipment Experience in industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments is a plus Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / NFPA (advantageous) Key Skills:Strong knowledge of fire detection and protection systems Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and training abilities Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations Familiarity with safety audits and compliance procedures Work Environment:May involve working at heights, confined spaces, or hazardous environments Fieldwork and inspections are part of the routine Must be available for on-call emergencies or drills
