Through our two businesses MUFG Retirement Solutions and MUFG Corporate Markets, we partner with a diversified portfolio of global clients to provide robust, efficient and scalable services, purpose-built solutions and modern technology platforms that deliver world class outcomes and experiences A member of MUFG, a global financial group, we help manage regulatory complexity, improve data management and connect people with their assets, through exceptional user experience that leverages the expertise of our people combined with scalable technology, digital connectivity and data insights, Overview Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Enablement, the Technical Specialist, and Monitoring & Alerting will be responsible for the operational health, administration, development, and support of Link Groups global Monitoring and Event Management platform and associated integrations, The Technical Specialist will have demonstrated experience in operational service management and complex project delivery The Technical Specialist will provide technical expertise and support for the enterprise monitoring operations, roadmap, process improvement, resource planning & project delivery, user experience and design of proactive monitoring and alerting solutions, As part of this role, the Technical Specialist will be required to consult with stakeholders to design and develop innovative monitoring solutions for Link Group Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Consult with business and IT stakeholders to perform requirements elicitation and gathering, Design technical monitoring and alerting solutions to meet business and technical requirements, Develop and build technical solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements, Support, maintain and continuously improve Link Groups global Monitoring and Event Management platform and associated integrations, Lifecycle management and maintenance of Monitoring and Alerting Tools ensuring software currency and maintenance occurs as per the agreed release cycles, Promote and champion the current and future capabilities of Link Groups global Monitoring and Event Management platform, Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and peers, Review, update and continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, and documentation, Provide specialist expertise and advice with regards to Monitoring and Event Management Effectively manage colleague, client and stakeholder expectations and relationships, Experience & Personal Attributes Demonstrated experience in Monitoring and Event Management tools, including but not limited to Splunk, Elastic, BMC, CA, Micro Focus, ScienceLogic, Solar Winds, AppDynamics, Dynatrace and New Relic, Demonstrated experience in designing and building monitoring solutions across applications, infrastructure, and networks, Excellent knowledge of Splunk and New Relic Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of the latest product development and features, Technical engineering background with 5+ years of Splunk integration, configuration and deployment experience including Search Heads, Indexer Clusters, HTTP Event Collectors, Deployment Servers, and Heavy Forwarders Demonstrated knowledge of SPL for solving complex data analytic problems and writing efficient queries Experience managing data retention policies and performing index administration, maintenance and optimisation, and configuration backups Demonstrated experience improving customer experience via innovative and intuitive technical solutions, Demonstrated experience in Monitoring tool user administration and security best practice, Knowledge and experience of Splunk at an architectural level, including the integration with Service Now and other Monitoring toolsets, Strong knowledge of system design and development used within Service Oriented architecture and web services integration such as XML, API Technologies (REST/SPML/SOAP), HTML, Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, CSS, XHTML, and XML Strong knowledge of ITIL v3/v4 methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases, Splunk and New Relic certification and demonstrated experience preferred, ITIL v3/v4 certification preferred, Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred, Minimum 5 yearsexperience in an enterprise environment, Well-developed communication skills, including a level of written communication and reporting skills necessary to describe complex issues and actions clearly and concisely, Ability to speak confidently with functional colleagues and senior management, Ability to work in high pressure situations and follow processes and procedures with accuracy and attention to detail, Self-Starter and a team player, Full working rights in Australia,
