IT Security Consultant (Freelance / Short-Term) Location: Remote or Hybrid Engagement: Short-term project (2–4 weeks), extendable if needed About the Role We're looking for an experienced IT Security Consultant to help us secure internal systems, restrict unauthorized access to company emails and IPs, and enforce device-level access controls. The consultant will assess current gaps, implement essential security measures, and recommend best practices tailored to our setup. Key Responsibilities Email & Identity Security Restrict access to company emails on personal/unapproved devices Set up geo-blocking, device whitelisting, or MFA/2FA Network & IP Protection Secure IPs from unauthorized access (internal & external) Configure firewall and access control settings Device & Endpoint Security Allow only approved devices on network Implement MDM or endpoint protection tools Audit & Recommendations Conduct a full security audit Deliver actionable recommendations Policy Setup Draft policies for hardware, email access, and device usage Brief internal team on implementation (if required) Who We’re Looking For Proven experience in IT/cybersecurity consulting (especially with SMEs) Strong grip on: Network security, email security (Gmail/O365) Device authentication, MDM tools Firewalls (Fortinet, pfSense), endpoint tools (Defender, CrowdStrike) Bonus: Security+ / CEH / CISSP certifications Project Details Duration: 2–4 weeks (initial scope) Mode: Remote (preferred) / Hybrid if needed Budget: Open to discussion If Interested, Please Share: Your CV or LinkedIn profile A short summary of similar work Your availability & hourly/day rate Job Types: Contractual / Temporary, Freelance Schedule: Day shift Fixed shift Work Location: In person
