Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader Inside Sales to support and drive performance within our Inside Sales team. This role involves overseeing a team of Inside Sales Executives, guiding their day-to-day activities, and ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives. You will play a crucial role in lead generation, pipeline management, and supporting Enterprise Sales Executives in achieving revenue targets.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in inside sales, lead generation, and team management, with a proven ability to motivate teams and contribute to business growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Inside Sales Executives, ensuring consistent achievement of individual and team sales targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the inside sales team including lead qualification, outbound prospecting, and appointment setting.
  • Drive performance through coaching, feedback, training, and performance management.
  • Assist team members in identifying key decision-makers, understanding business challenges, and conducting effective needs analyses.
  • Manage and prioritize inbound and outbound leads to ensure timely follow-up and maximum opportunity conversion.
  • Work closely with Sales Executives to route qualified opportunities
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on targeted campaigns and initiatives to generate high-quality leads.
  • Track, analyze, and report on KPIs and team performance using CRM and other sales tools.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Merit Group’s offerings to effectively coach the team and support prospecting efforts.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of Inside Sales Executives.
  • Ensure CRM data is accurately maintained across the team, and generate weekly reports for senior leadership.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the UK market and competitor landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in inside sales or lead generation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong background in outbound sales, preferably in a B2B or technology-focused environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to VP and C-level executives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot).
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other sales prospecting platforms.
  • Experience in the UK market preferred.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
