Position Overview:

IT Head

Key Responsibilities:

Software & Application Management

• Oversee all clinical and non-clinical applications including

  HIS, EMR, LIS, RIS, PACS, and billing systems

  .
• Ensure system integrity, upgrades, user adoption, and seamless integration with hospital workflows.
• Serve as the key liaison between hospital departments and HIS vendors for customization and troubleshooting.

IT Infrastructure & Desktop Engineering

• Lead the

  desktop support team

  to ensure smooth IT operations across all departments.
• Manage hospital IT infrastructure including servers, firewalls, data backups, CCTV, networking, biometric devices, and system access controls.
• Ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets and system issues with minimal downtime.

Security & Compliance

• Maintain

  data privacy and IT security standards

  as per hospital protocols and NABH compliance.
• Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and cyber security measures are in place.

Team & Vendor Management

• Supervise and mentor IT engineers, application support staff, and helpdesk technicians.
• Manage vendor relationships for software licensing, hardware procurement, AMC contracts, and support SLAs.

Strategic Planning & Digital Growth

• Collaborate with hospital leadership to implement IT initiatives that improve patient care and operational efficiency.
• Plan for future technology needs aligned with hospital growth.
• Monitor IT KPIs and suggest digital transformation strategies.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in

  IT, Computer Science, or related field

  .

• 10–15 years of relevant experience

  in healthcare IT, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience with

  HIS platform’s

  hospital workflow automation.
• Proficiency in managing clinical and administrative IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with

  NABH accreditation

  standards and health IT compliance.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Desirable Certifications:

• ITIL / PMP / CHIS / Healthcare IT-related certifications (preferred)
