Experience: 1520 years in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Qualification: B-Tech Mechanical

Systems: Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (PP, MM, PM modules)

Role Objective

In order to achieve efficient, safe, and cost-effective production aligned with quality and delivery standards, the Production Head will lead end-to-end production operations across multiple SKUs and shifts, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, resource optimization, and continuous improvement through best-in-class manufacturing practices.

Functional Responsibilities in Action-Outcome Format

In order to achieve Effective Production Planning and Execution

• Formulate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and material availability.
• Ensure seamless coordination across shifts and production lines to meet throughput targets.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA (PP module) for real-time visibility into production orders, tracking, and reporting.
• Mitigate deviations in plan through root cause analysis and corrective actions.

In order to achieve Operational Excellence and Efficiency

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies to improve OEE.
• Drive initiatives to minimize changeover time, idle time, and non-value-added activities.
• Optimize manpower and machine utilization through standard work practices.
• Track key metrics such as productivity, downtime, and yield daily and weekly.

In order to achieve Quality, Compliance, and Safety Standards

• Ensure adherence to internal and customer quality specifications through in-process controls and audits.
• Drive zero-defect culture across teams through structured problem solving and training.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, EHS guidelines, and safety SOPs.
• Promote workplace safety culture through audits, training, and corrective actions.

In order to achieve SAP and Data Integrity

• Ensure accurate recording of BOMs, routings, production bookings, and stock reconciliations.
• Lead digitalization initiatives and enforce systemic discipline across shop floor reporting.
• Drive dashboards for real-time monitoring and decision-making.

In order to achieve Cost Control and Resource Optimization

• Monitor and control production budgets, energy consumption, and material waste.
• Implement cost reduction projects and best practices for operational efficiency.
• Benchmark and improve cost per unit through productivity improvement and wastage reduction.

In order to achieve Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with SCM, QA, maintenance, and project teams to align on schedules, quality, and capacity.
• Support NPI and engineering changes by ensuring production readiness and trials.
• Collaborate with HR for training, performance management, and team development.
