Job Description

  • Develop and Strengthen OHSE Framework:

    Lead the formulation, implementation, and continual improvement of the OHSE Management System in line with ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015, incorporating inputs from the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and asset-specific needs.
  • Lead Compliance, Audits & Risk Assessment:

    Coordinate internal OHSE audits, risk assessments, and inspections across all assets. Ensure timely closure of non-conformities and adherence to all regulatory, concession agreement, and certification requirements.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority:

    Empowered to stop any activity where imminent risk to life, environment, or property is observed, until satisfactory control measures are applied.
  • Incident Investigation & Corrective Action:

    Investigate all workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and black spot events. Facilitate root cause analysis, plan short-term and long-term remedial actions, and ensure implementation in coordination with Project Heads.
  • Drive Training, Awareness & Culture Building:

    Plan and conduct OHSE awareness campaigns, induction programs, and risk management training for employees, contractors, and road users. Promote a proactive and participatory safety culture.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Integration:

    Collaborate with Project Heads and functional teams to integrate OHSE principles into operations, crisis management plans, and engineering design reviews.
  • Strategic Performance Reporting:

    Develop and submit comprehensive HSE reports, including KPIs, incident trends, regulatory compliance status, and benchmarking insights, to the CoE and senior leadership for strategic review and decision-making.
  • Support Certification & Liaison:

    Coordinate with consultants for obtaining and maintaining required certifications, approvals related to HSE.
  • Ensure Emergency Preparedness:

    Design, implement, and regularly test emergency preparedness plans to reduce potential impacts from unforeseen incidents across all project sites.

Key Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian HSE laws and global standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in large-scale construction/infra projects (roads, buildings, power, metro, etc.)
  • Crisis management and emergency preparedness
  • Proficiency in incident investigation and audit techniques

Preferred Background:

  • Worked in reputed EPC/Infrastructure companies
  • Handled multi-site HSE operations
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC, Lead Auditor in ISO 45001/14001, First Aid, Fire Safety
