Role Description

General Practitioner / General Physician

Responsibilities:

• Conduct consultations and physical examinations for general health complaints.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, infections).
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in line with standard protocols.
• Coordinate with specialty departments for cross-referrals and advanced care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in EMR systems.
• Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Participate in health awareness camps, clinic events, or educational initiatives when required.
• Maintain strong patient communication, empathy, and trust throughout consultations.

Qualifications

Education & Licensing:

• MBBS from a recognized medical institution (mandatory).
• MD (General Medicine) or DNB preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid registration with the

  Telangana State Medical Council

  or

  MCI/NMC

  .

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of internal medicine protocols and treatments.
• Excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
• Comfortable using EMR and digital health tools.
• Empathetic, ethical, and committed to patient-first care.
• Able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience:

• 2–5 years of clinical experience in General Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Experience in outpatient-based clinics, wellness centers, or hospitals.
• Exposure to lifestyle disease management, corporate health, or preventive medicine will be an added advantage.
