Job Description

As a Full Stack Engineer at Cisco Spaces, you will be joining a dynamic team focused on revolutionizing the way businesses interact with physical spaces through the innovative cloud platform. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of web and backend applications. You will: - Backend Development: Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Kotlin, Vert.x, and RESTful APIs to build high performant, scalable, and distributed systems. - Frontend Development: Create interactive web applications using React.js, Redux, TypeScript, and modern UI libraries. - Database Management: Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases like Graph DB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. - Microservices & Cloud: Build and deploy microservices on AWS, with experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS). - API Development & Integration: Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications. - Testing & Code Quality: Write unit and integration tests for both frontend and backend components. - Collaborate in a highly collaborative environment with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX experts, and software and hardware engineers. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science. - 4+ years of experience in Java, Kafka, Kotlin, Node.js, JavaScript, and ReactJS. - Experience with large-scale cloud applications (AWS) and familiarity with various AWS services. - Proven experience in design and implementation using Java, streaming technologies (preferably Kafka), REST APIs, and Web Applications. - Proficiency in tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Git. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka for real-time applications. - Knowledge of GraphQL. - Experience in EKS & CDN.
