Your Team's Impact:- The Trading Solutions - Engineering team is modernizing the front end and back end infrastructure of our Portware Enterprise trading platform while simultaneously integrating FactSet’s best of breed product suites to empower client workflows. SUB-PROCESS BRIEF :- About Portware Financial industry's leading developer of broker-neutral, automated trading solutions for global equities, futures, options and FX. Portware works in partnership with its clients to create highly integrated solutions to streamline workflow and increase operational efficiencies on trading desks worldwide. Portware's flagship product, Portware Enterprise, is fully customizable trade management and execution system for single stock, portfolio, basket, automated and algorithmic trading. Our product supports clients on both the buy-side and sell-side along with Equity, FX, Futures, Options and Fixed Income asset classes. Portware development department designs and develops all the product enhancements and client customizations for the Portware platform. We strive to analyze each client’s complex functional requirements very carefully and design generic solutions for re-use with minimal configuration changes. We also support the technical support staff in resolving production issues and in ensuring that a stable platform is deployed for all our clients. What You'll Do:- Deliver high quality, reusable and maintainable code, perform Unit / Integration Testing of assigned tasks within the agreed timelines. Develop and enhance core and client systems functionality, including algorithms, plug-in modules, API and GUI. Basic Troubleshooting and debugging of production issues. Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Product, Quality Assurance) to ensure smooth product delivery. What We're Looking For:- 5 to 7 years of java coding experience. Firm understanding of Java 1.6 - 1.8 core APIs, including collections, multi-threading, XML, and middleware technologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. B.E or B. Tech in Computer Science or other relevant engineering fields. Experience with SQL and relational databases Experience building and deploying production level services. Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills DESIRED SKILLS :- Experience with Agile environments using Jira and Confluence (or similar tools) Motivated self-starter with creative thinking and a strong desire to learn. Attention to detail along with the ability to see the big picture. Mentor and assist other junior engineers on the team.
