Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Node.js Backend Developer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure backend systems primarily using Node.js and Express.js. This role also involves working with MySQL databases, leveraging AWS cloud services, and contributing to our DevOps initiatives, including infrastructure automation with Terraform. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend APIs and services using Node.js and Express.js. Implement and optimize database schemas and queries for MySQL to ensure data integrity and efficient retrieval. Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Integrate and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code. Contribute to the design and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications for maximum speed and scalability. Implement security best practices and ensure data protection measures are in place. Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in Node.js development, cloud, and DevOps. Required Skills and Qualifications: Extensive experience (3+ years) in backend development with Node.js and the Express.js framework. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+). Solid experience with MySQL , including database design, optimization, and query tuning. Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services relevant to backend development (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway). Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation. Understanding and experience with DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline concepts. Proficiency with Git for version control. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and error handling in Node.js. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Good to Have: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. Knowledge of other Node.js frameworks (e.g., NestJS, Koa.js). Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis). Understanding of microservices architecture.
