What you will do As a Digital Product Owner (DPO) in the Data Organization, you will take on the role of Product Owner, a key member of the Agile Team responsible for defining user stories, prioritizing tasks, and managing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities. You will be part of the Data Unit within Volvo Digital & IT, serving as the Product Owner for Data Enablement Factory, playing a central role in Volvos data transformation journey. Your future team The Data Enablement Factory is a critical area focused on ingesting new data sources into the Group Data Platform. It also drives essential data management activities such as data classification and lineage tracking. Competencies Required Competencies: Proven experience in managing IT deliveries including discussions with business stakeholders and cross delivery teams. Experience in data-related roles, particularly in data acquisition, ingestion, and integration areas. Familiar with modern data platforms Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Experience working in a global context. Ability to contribute to the establishment of the data acquisition delivery plan. Proactive approach to continuous improvements. Experience with Agile methodologies. Ability to lead teams in continuous learning and improvement. Proficient in managing the performance of third-party operations and resources. What a typical day looks like: Maintaining relations with the suppliers. Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production. Receiving and handling the confirmations. Checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List. Tracking shipments, urging them if needed. Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock. Minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report. Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation. Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues. Filing and recording all necessary documents. Checking the inventory of critical materials (personally if needed) according to the Shortage List. Getting in touch with the right warehouse personnel and having the discrepancy modified if there is any inventory discrepancies. Handling purchasing data privacy. Assuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request. Reviews requisitions and MRP output. Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output. Maintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories. Manages supplier to price, delivery and quality expectations and escalates when appropriate.
