The CT Scan Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare system, providing crucial imaging services that support diagnostic processes. This position, based in Ariyappampalayam, Tamil Nadu, involves working closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to carry out high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans. As a CT Scan Technician, your responsibilities include preparing patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort, operating CT scanning equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, positioning patients correctly to achieve optimal imaging results, and ensuring patient safety by adhering to radiation safety guidelines. To qualify for this position, you need to have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field, a valid certification from a recognized radiologic technology program, and state licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist. A minimum of 2 years of experience in computed tomography is required, along with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory guidelines, and proficiency in using CT imaging equipment and software. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred, and experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.
