Position Overview

Controls Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership:

  Develop scope, schedule, and budget for Building Management System (BMS) and power management projects.

• Execution Oversight:

  Oversee BMS improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

• Procurement Management:

  Manage procurement activities, including requests for quotations, vendor proposals, and purchase orders.

• Commissioning Support:

  Support commissioning and testing of controls projects within data centers.

• Engineering Analysis:

  Conduct research and analysis to optimize data center equipment and facilities.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all designs and installations meet operational, cooling, and structural requirements.

• Risk Management:

  Develop remediation playbooks for control system vulnerabilities in collaboration with IT teams.

• Collaboration:

  Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to meet project goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in designing, configuring, programming, installing, and troubleshooting HVAC controls, Electrical SCADA systems, and BMS controls.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.
• Hands-on experience with controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and MODBUS.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
