Job Description

As a member of the Managed Services support team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to global customers. Your role will involve utilizing your strong skills in VMware vSphere and server hardware to ensure the smooth operation and management of systems. It is essential to have a customer-centric approach, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges. To be eligible for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent and have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in an Enterprise Managed Service environment. Possessing certifications such as VMware VCP or ITIL will be advantageous. You must be willing to work in a 24/7 support environment and meet the minimum level requirement if applying as part of an internal job posting. Your technical skills in VMWare should include expertise in administering, operating, and managing vSphere Datacenter, as well as experience in ESXi and vCenter upgrades, virtual machine operations, performance monitoring, networking, storage configurations, security, and more. Additionally, you should have a basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Linux Operating Systems, and Physical Network and Storage technologies. In the area of Compute, you will be providing remote support for Compute infrastructure and OneView application, ensuring compliance with technical standards and contract terms. Your responsibilities will include managing servers, server management software tools, remote deployment programs, monitoring processes, and collaborating with various functions for quick issue resolution. Key responsibilities will involve resolving customer issues via different channels, escalating issues when necessary, leveraging internal technical expertise, collaborating with other teams, maintaining documentation quality, and meeting productivity measures. You will also be responsible for handling Problem Management, Post-Incident Reviews, and Root Cause Analysis. Non-technical skills such as excellent communication, commitment to high-quality support, customer satisfaction, ownership, productivity, teamwork, and decision-making will be essential for success in this role.
