The Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is pleased to announce multiple openings in the new research lab led by Dr. Tan Xuan, starting in August 2025. The lab's primary focus is on advancing cooperative intelligence through rational, model-based artificial intelligence engineering. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in various academic fields such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Cognitive Science, and Computational Linguistics. The research topics of interest include modeling and engineering human-like cooperative agents, cooperative infrastructure for human-human and human-machine interactions, applications of rational cooperative AI, and probabilistic programming and model-based planning for safe AI. Job profile: The iHub Faculty Fellow would be called the iHub Fellow and the Fellow would be affiliated for the duration of the Fellowship with iHub at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. The Fellow would pursue research at the iHub. Potential activities that the faculty Fellow may engage in at the iHub may include: The iHub Faculty Fellow is expected to do research and technology development at the iHub in areas related to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, and Multisensory Applications: Human-Computer Interaction addresses the sub-areas of Assistive Technologies, Experience Technologies, and Device-led Technologies. The research should have relevance to address to needs of the specific industries.
