Cloud DevOps Engineer

As the Cloud DevOps Manager at our organization, you will be leading a team of engineers in the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring system stability, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that align with our organization's goals. Your role will involve leadership and team management, where you will lead and mentor a team of Linux engineers, provide technical guidance, and manage workload distribution to ensure timely project completion. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to align IT infrastructure with organizational objectives. You will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing robust Linux-based environments, including servers, networking, and storage solutions. Ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of Linux systems will be a key focus, along with overseeing the automation of system deployment and management processes using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Maintenance and troubleshooting will also be a significant part of your role, where you will lead efforts in monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing system performance. Proactively identifying and resolving technical issues to prevent system outages is crucial. Security and compliance will be another important aspect of your responsibilities, as you will implement and maintain security best practices for Linux systems, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and handle documentation and reporting of systems, processes, and procedures. Continuous improvement is encouraged in this role, where staying updated with the latest Linux technologies, tools, and practices is essential. Leading initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of Linux environments, including the adoption of cloud technologies and containerization, will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, you should possess at least 10 years of experience in Linux system administration, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or senior technical role. Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, networking principles, automation tools, scripting languages, virtualization, containerization, and cloud platforms is required. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities are also necessary for this role.
