Role Overview
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute an integrated technology roadmap aligned with company goals.
- Lead end-to-end architecture: from edge devices and embedded systems to cloud services, dashboards, and APIs.
- Drive scalable, secure, and resilient SaaS + IIoT platform design.
- Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and modern infrastructure practices.
Product & Platform Leadership
- Oversee development of embedded firmware, cloud APIs, web/mobile applications, and AI model pipelines.
- Ensure seamless integration of hardware (sensors, microcontrollers) with cloud analytics and user interfaces.
- Own system performance, fault tolerance, and customer SLA compliance.
Team Building & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and scale cross-functional teams across Embedded, Software, AI/ML, and Infra.
- Create clear accountability, documentation, KPIs, and performance management processes.
- Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and rapid delivery.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Lead the implementation of cybersecurity controls across OT and IT environments.
- Ensure compliance with standards (CMMI L3, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, GDPR, etc.).
- Manage technology risks, audits, and data privacy policies.
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to align roadmap and execution.
- Represent the company in technical discussions with partners, clients, and investors.
- Evaluate technology investments, vendors, and licensing models.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
Core Technical Expertise
- 15+ years in technology leadership (CTO, VP Technology)
- Strong background in
embedded systems development
(C/C++, RTOS, UART, SPI, Modbus, CAN, BLE) - Deep understanding of
Industrial IoT protocols
: MQTT, OPC-UA, edge-to-cloud telemetry - Hands-on experience with
AI/ML model deployment
(scikit-learn, TensorFlow, ONNX, edge inference) - Proven capability in
cloud platforms
(AWS/GCP), microservices, APIs, REST, WebSockets - Skilled in
DevOps tools
: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions - Strong grasp of
cybersecurity
principles and network protection (firewalls, secure boot, OTA updates)
Leadership & Process
- Experience building and leading
multi-domain tech teams
- Led
end-to-end product cycles
in high-availability SaaS or industrial platforms - Exposure to
CMMI Level 3+
, Agile/Scrum, process documentation, version control, QA
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics
, or related technical field is required. - Masters degree or higher in
Embedded Systems, AI/ML, Cloud Computing, or Data Engineering
is preferred. - Candidates with
executive certifications in technology leadership
(MIT xPro, Wharton, INSEAD) will be given preference.
