Job Description

Job Overview: The Chemist will play a crucial role in managing the hospital’s chemical and water quality systems, especially within engineering and facility operations. Key responsibilities include conducting various laboratory tests, maintaining compliance with environmental and safety norms, and offering technical support for water treatment systems, HVAC setups, and other facility services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform water quality analysis for potable/non-potable water, RO units, geysers, softeners, tanks, and STP systems
  • Analyze samples monthly, including media preparation, inoculation, incubation, plate streaking, and biochemical testing
  • Maintain proper documentation for Aqua Guard and RO testing
  • Conduct regular testing of critical area water supplies—potable, non-potable, inlet, and distilled water
  • Conduct hardness testing weekly for softener systems
  • Analyze STP water monthly for basic parameters (pH, TDS, TSS, MLSS, etc.), manage logbooks and reports
  • Coordinate biannual maintenance of RO plants including pre-filter changes, chemical washes, and membrane cleaning
  • Supervise annual cleaning of STP and overhead tanks

Eligibility Criteria:
  • B.Sc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Experience:
  • 0 to 3 years
