Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join our API manufacturing team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients in accordance with GMP and regulatory standards. This role involves process optimization, scale-up, technology transfer, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations of API production processes and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for the production of APIs. Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to increase yield and reduce costs. Participate in scale-up and tech transfer of new molecules from R&D to production. Develop and review batch manufacturing records (BMRs), SOPs, and validation protocols. Collaborate with Quality, R&D, EHS, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations. Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, EHS, and other regulatory guidelines. Support audits by regulatory bodies and customers. Maintain documentation as per regulatory and company requirements. Train and mentor plant operators and junior engineers. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. 6 -10 years of experience in API or pharmaceutical chemical manufacturing. Strong understanding of chemical unit operations (e.g., distillation, crystallization, filtration, drying). Knowledge of cGMP, ICH, and FDA regulations. Experience with process safety management, HAZOP, and risk assessments. Proficiency in using chemical process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) is a plus.
