Category Manager - Kids Apparel

You will play a crucial role as a Category Manager at Popstation, a fashion foundry dedicated to fostering India's emerging apparel brands. Within our integrated ecosystem that covers design, sourcing, production, and marketing, we are focused on developing and expanding purpose-driven brands, particularly in the Kidswear vertical. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing a comprehensive category strategy for the 0-8 years segment in alignment with the brand objectives. You will lead the seasonal range planning in collaboration with the design and sourcing team. By conducting market and competitor analysis, you will be able to identify trends and consumer demand gaps to drive product strategy effectively. As the Category Manager, you will be tasked with building and managing pricing architecture, product mix, and lifecycle planning. It will be essential to drive sell-through, manage inventory rotation, and take necessary actions on slow-moving items. Your role will involve close coordination with the design, merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure timelines and targets are met consistently. Monitoring sales performance, analyzing data, and presenting actionable insights to the management will be key aspects of your responsibilities. Staying abreast of fabric innovations, safety standards, and child-specific design trends will also be crucial to your success in this role. To excel in this position, we are seeking candidates with at least 3-5 years of experience in apparel category management, with a preference for those with expertise in kidswear. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills are essential, along with exposure to product development and go-to-market cycles. Proficiency in Excel, data tools, and collaborative platforms is required.
