Career Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and persuasive Career Counsellor to join our training institute. The ideal candidate will be responsible for interacting with prospective students, understanding their goals, explaining suitable courses, and converting leads into successful enrollments. This is a target-driven role that requires excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to guide candidates towards the right career path through our training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to potential leads, walk-ins, and inquiries.
• Understand the candidate’s career goals, educational background, and interests.
• Provide course details, career benefits, fee structures, and training methodologies clearly.
• Follow up regularly with leads through calls, WhatsApp, or emails until conversion.
• Achieve monthly enrolment targets through effective counselling and rapport building.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, meetings, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
• Coordinate with the training and marketing teams for updated course information and promotional activities.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews regularly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• 1–3 years of experience in career counselling, academic sales, or admission counselling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Tamil and Telugu.
• Good convincing skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve conversion targets.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in EdTech or training institute admissions is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of digital marketing or IT-related courses is an added advantage.
• Friendly, approachable, and self-motivated personality.
