Job Description: Field Engineer & Technician (Maintenance of Traffic Signals) –
PAN City Project

Position: Field Engineer & Technician – Maintenance of Traffic Signals
Employment Type: Full-time

1. Job Title: Field Engineer

Qualifications:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering fields.
• Experience in handling traffic signal systems and urban traffic control systems will be an advantage.
• Freshers may also apply.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of traffic signals across the city.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to traffic signal controllers, sensors, and related equipment.
• Conduct field inspections and ensure all traffic signals are functioning optimally.
• Ensure that all work complies with company standards, safety protocols, and municipal regulations.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage documentation and reporting for each site’s activities, including equipment status, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure timely response to any signal failures or malfunctions.

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of traffic control systems, electronics, and communication networks.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, controllers, and sensor-based systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and reporting.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the city as per project requirements.

2. Job Title: Technician (Maintenance of Traffic Signals)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or related fields.
• Previous experience in traffic signal maintenance or similar roles is preferred.
• Freshers with relevant training may also apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, repair, and routine maintenance of traffic signals and associated equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix minor technical issues in traffic signals and control devices.
• Carry out periodic checks and preventive maintenance on the traffic signal systems.
• Replace defective or damaged parts (e.g., LED's, Wires, Controllers).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all fieldwork.
• Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and equipment status.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of traffic signal systems, electronic circuitry, and electrical wiring.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment related to traffic signal maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in outdoor field conditions.
