Back End Developer

About the Role:

We're looking for developers in the backend team who have rich experience and a good

understanding of the server side logic, excited to design and build scalable applications.

The SDE will work on either:

Revenue Product: The candidate will work on fixing the payment flow on our existing website,

designing internal automation tools for the asset team and development of backend systems for

new and upcoming assets.

Engagement Product: The candidate will work on a personal finance application where

he/she will be responsible for building reliable, secure and performant backend systems

Responsibilities:

1. Take ownership of new products/features.

2. Contribute to the design and architecture of our backend APIs and ensure adherence to

engineering best practices and maintain the overall quality of our codebase.

3. Mentor and assist younger members of the team and perform code reviews.

4. Work with the product team to translate powerful ideas into everyday business value

5. Fostering a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team culture focused on fast, focused,

high impact execution.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience in Java or Kotlin is highly recommended.
• Experience in MVC frameworks preferably spring boot.
• Experience in implementing software engineering best practices.
• Good understanding of product development lifecycle.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers & work on features independently with little guidance.
• Rapid prototyping skills for getting product feedback.
• Ability to proactively seek to debug & optimise the codebase
