Job Description

Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture and Deployment : Design and implement cloud architecture solutions to meet organizational needs, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. This includes working with Azure PaaS and IaaS services, and hybrid models. Technical Support and Troubleshooting : Provide Level 2 technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Azure cloud services, focusing on cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. This includes resolving escalated issues related to networking, virtual machines, storage, databases, and Azure Active Directory. Migration and Deployment Projects : Execute scoped Azure projects such as migrations, AVD deployments, and Azure infrastructure architecture and deployment. Collaboration and Mentoring : Collaborate with other teams to ensure project success and mentor lower-level engineers to enhance their skills. Performance Optimization and Security : Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of cloud-based systems, ensuring best security practices are implemented in line with Azure security guidelines3. Automation and Scripting : Use tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates to automate tasks and streamline processes. Technical Skills Azure Knowledge : Strong understanding of Azure services including PaaS, IaaS, Azure AD, Azure Storage, App Service, Azure DevOps, etc. Networking and Security : Experience with networking concepts (e.g., VPNs, Load Balancers, DNS) and security measures (e.g., RBAC, NSGs). Scripting and Automation : Familiarity with PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, and automation tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform. DevOps and Agile Methodologies : Experience with DevOps tools and processes, and Agile methodologies. Soft Skills Communication and Problem-Solving : Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Teamwork and Leadership : Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management and organizational skills. Certifications Azure Certifications : Azure Solution Architect Expert or similar certifications are often required. Work Environment Hybrid Work : Many roles offer flexible work arrangements, including remote and hybrid models.
