AWS Network Engineer (Contractual)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities: Design and Deploy AWS Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, Internet gateways, and security groups. Implement site-to-site VPNs, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway configurations for hybrid cloud architecture. Latency Optimization & High Availability: Deploy and configure AWS Global Accelerator to reduce application latency and improve availability for global users. Work with application teams to route traffic effectively across regions using Global Accelerator and Route 53. Data Synchronization & Pipelines: Develop and manage data pipeline architectures to ensure timely and accurate data replication between environments or regions. Collaborate with Data Engineering and DevOps teams to support ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake syncs, and hybrid sync processes. Monitoring, Security & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, AWS Config) for visibility and troubleshooting. Ensure network security best practices and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Use tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK to automate network infrastructure deployment. Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code in collaboration with the DevOps team. Preferred candidate profile : Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS networking and infrastructure. Proven expertise in: Amazon VPC design and implementation. VPN connections (IPSec, SSL), hybrid connectivity, and Transit Gateway. AWS Global Accelerator setup and optimization. Data sync mechanisms, including AWS DataSync, S3 replication, Glue, DMS, or custom sync pipelines. Proficient in using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK for IaC.
