Asst Manager – Quality Assurance

BASIC FUNCTION: This position serves as the Quality shift supervisor, driving batch approvals within the cycle time with 100% compliance. Drive projects are batch approval cycle time. Need to focus batch cycle and drive the compliance to implemented QMS, which includes Product / Process audit, LPA, Dock audit, Crater prevention Initiaties as per the company's manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur, Chennai. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Inspect Finished goods , Intermediates , Pigments and ensure consistency 2. Shade matching skill for Met , Sod and COIL products 3. Application skill ( both manual and auto applicator) 4. Good knowledge of customer complaint analysis 5. Resolving quality concerns and adhering to timelines 6. Calibration of instruments and maintenances 7. 5S monitoring , sustain and improvement 8. Basic computer knowledge , SAP , excel and PPT presentation 9. Daily report preparation / MIS preparation 10. Prepare documentation for IATF and ISO14001 11. Knowledge DR process , SSP preparation , Revalidation and RP process 12. KANBAN process for materials handled for daily usage. NATURE AND SCOPE The incumbent is the primary Quality expert for all products manufactured in Sriperumbudur, He should drive the process robustness by implementing Mistake proofing for CTQ paramters He must be knowledgeable on customer specific requirement and is expected to work closely and continuously with the Technical, Production and Customer site teams on product quality matters. He should be analytical minded using objective methods to drive Quality consistency in the organization. The incumbent must be knowledgeable in using various Problem Solving tools incl. 5Why, 6 Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Mfg., 7 QC Tools etc. He must be able to resolve Quality and related problems by proper networking with Customer representatives, Site teams, Technology and Plant personnel. Where require he is expected to interface with PPG experts in resolving issues or driving improvements. He must be people focused and seek to constantly keep his reports well engaged and motivated. This position reports to the Manager Quality. He must have good Communication, Analytical skills; hold leadership qualities with efficient human relations capabilities; performance focused; technically competent;
