Job Description

As a L2 Engineer, you will be responsible for daily file delivery, on boarding and developing scripts to automate, streamline/enhance, maintain the Sterling systems working as part of a team of technical professionals for offshore, overseeing the Sterling and SFG platforms, which are critical for all of Western Union. You would be responsible for maintaining and creating new Scripts/Business Processes while also contributing to day-to-day system stability, patching, delivering all files and task assignments. Your role will involve client onboarding, scripting BPs, scripting monitoring task solutions, troubleshooting critical issues, and optimizing current and future processes, while ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient environment.

Role Responsibilities

Collaborate with team for Sterling enhancements and system upgrades.
Look for methods of automation and monitoring to enhance Sterling Application performance.
Actively support technical and production processes for L2/L3 escalations.
Escalates technical issues as necessary to keep projects and issues on track and mitigate risks.

Role Requirements

Proficient using, developing and maintaining IBM Sterling Application, for all aspects of Sterling architecture. Implementing patches, impact analysis, BP scripting, client onboarding, be able to support L2/L3 problem resolution.
Over 2-3 years of experience in system software maintenance and upgrades, IBM Java Scripting, SQL Scripting, testing, and production support.
Must be able to perform limited network validations and checks.
Familiar with Sterling troubleshooting, SSH/SFTP, FTP, Connect :Direct(NDM), SSL/FTPS, HTTPS/HTTP, have basic Linux and Windows skills.
