Assistant Teacher (PRT)

Job Summary: The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment. This role involves assisting with lesson planning, classroom management, and individualized student support to promote academic and social development in line with school policies and curriculum standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and instructional activities. Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts. Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment. Supervise students in the classroom, during recess, lunch, and field trips. Prepare classroom materials and resources as needed. Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the Lead Teacher or administration. Provide feedback on student progress and participation. Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities. Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and school staff to support student success.
