Job Title: Assistant Manager - Engineering & Design

Job Description:

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing and developing sheet metal components and systems for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have experience in control panel design, SPMs, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies.
  
• Create detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  
• Perform material selection and conduct cost analysis.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design solutions.
  
• Conduct stress and structural analysis to ensure design integrity.
  
• Oversee fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing or design-related issues.
  
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
  
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and shop floor teams.
  
• Document and standardize manufacturing processes and best practices.
  
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in sheet metal technologies.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  
• Proficient in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
  
• Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication processes
  
• Understanding of CNC machining and laser cutting operations
  
• Knowledge of engineering standards, manufacturing practices, and safety compliance
  
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  
• Project management and leadership experience is a plus
  
• Certification in welding or sheet metal work is an added advantage
  
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
